Pianist
Sun-A Park is an accomplished pianist who has performed in venues across the world and won top prizes in numerous competitions. Some highlights include First Prize in the James Ramos International Competition in 2019, First Prize in the Haneum Music Competition Piano Duo. Ms. Park was also a prizewinner in the MTNA Sonata Competition in 2012.
Educator
Ms. Park has almost 20 years of teaching experience and enjoys working with students of all ages. Her students have won prizes in SYMF, and have achieved top honors in Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and Certificate of Merit (CM) exams. She earned her Master of Music degree and Graduate Certificate in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California (USC) Thornton School of Music, and her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Baekseok University (South Korea). She served as the President of the USC MTNA Collegiate Chapter, and currently serves as the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) Southern Festival Chair.
Ms. Park is currently teaching at Fresno City College, and Reedley College as an Adjunct Professor of Piano.
Collaborative Pianist
With more than 25 years of experience as a collaborative pianist, Ms. Park has partnered with a wide range of musicians, choirs, and ensembles. She began accompanying her church choir in South Korea at the age of ten, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for collaborative music-making. Throughout her career, she has worked with choirs, soloists, instrumentalists, and ensembles, earning a reputation for musical excellence and professionalism.
Recently, Ms. Park served as staff pianist at Fresno State, Fresno City College, and Clovis West High School.
